Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with specialized skills in drywall installation and repair, plastering, painting, and ceramic tiling to join our property maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing high-quality repairs, renovations, and finishing work within residential apartment suites, ensuring units are prepared to company standards for new tenant occupancy.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform drywall installation, patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing.
- Complete plaster repairs and surface restoration.
- Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and common areas.
- Install, repair, and replace ceramic, porcelain, and vinyl tile.
- Conduct suite turnovers, including cosmetic repairs and finishing work.
- Repair minor damage caused by tenant occupancy or maintenance work.
- Ensure vacant units are move-in ready within established timelines.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while following health and safety standards.
- Identify maintenance deficiencies and report additional repair requirements.
- Work collaboratively with property managers, maintenance staff, and contractors.
- Assist with general maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drywall, plastering, painting, and tiling.
- Experience preparing residential units for tenant occupancy.
- Residential property management or apartment maintenance experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with reliable transportation is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of residential building maintenance practices.
- Experience with suite renovations and turnover schedules.
- Basic carpentry and general repair skills are considered an asset.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests while meeting deadlines.
- Strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with tenants and staff.
