Job Description

As a Security Officer - Outside Campus Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring reliability, integrity, and teamwork to every shift while contributing to a caring and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help support authorized access practices, observe site activity, and report security-related concerns in accordance with post instructions.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and/or incident documentation, and assist with directional support and general assistance consistent with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
