Description
The Senior Manager, Chemistry Product Management – Molecular Registration is responsible for defining and delivering the digital product strategy and roadmap supporting small and large molecule registration, chemistry data curation, external workflow enablement, library design, AI/ML enablement, data reuse and chemistry services enhancement.
This role partners closely with chemistry and biologics scientists to enable accurate, scalable registration of diverse molecular modalities—including small molecules, proteins, antibodies, and emerging modalities—ensuring high-quality, standardized, and integrated data across the R&D ecosystem. The role is critical to establishing the data foundation that supports decision-making, operational efficiency, and AI-driven research.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Own Molecular Registration Product Strategy
Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management for enterprise registration capabilities spanning small molecules (compounds, analogs) and large molecules (proteins, antibodies, modalities).
Bridge Chemistry and Biologics Workflows
Partner with medicinal chemistry, protein engineering, and modality teams to harmonize workflows and enable consistent, scalable registration across molecular types.
Translate Science into Scalable Digital Solutions
Convert complex domain requirements (e.g., stereochemistry, sequences, modifications, conjugates) into product features and system capabilities.
Drive Product Delivery & Adoption
Lead delivery of enhancements and new capabilities across registration platforms (COTS and custom), ensuring strong user experience, adoption, and measurable impact.
Establish Data Standards & Integrity
Define and govern registration standards across modalities, including structure, sequence, nomenclature, and metadata to ensure consistency, traceability, and reuse.
Integrate Across the Molecular Lifecycle
Enable seamless interoperability between registration systems and upstream design tools, and downstream systems (assays, inventory, analytics platforms).
Enable AI-Ready Data Foundations
Ensure data generated through registration is structured, standardized, and accessible to support modeling, analytics, and machine learning use cases.
Lead Cross-Functional Execution
Coordinate engineering, data, architecture, and vendor teams to deliver complex product initiatives and platform evolution.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to maximize value and align with Pfizer standards.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to data integrity, security, and regulatory expectations across molecular data and systems.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or related field
- Strong experience in scientific informatics, digital product management, or R&D systems
- Experience supporting small molecule and/or biologics focused workflows, e.g., registration, data pipelines, data products, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Preferred
- Advanced degree (PhD, MS, or MBA)
- Experience with registration systems, LIMS, ELN, or molecular design tools
- Familiarity with both chemical structure and biologics sequence data standards
- Experience with data architecture, integration patterns, and cloud platforms
- Exposure to AI/ML use cases in molecular design or discovery
