Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in China’s S&T, economic and legislative landscape, especially with relevance to the publishing industry.
- Analyze and make evidence-based predictions on the implications of changes and new developments, including new technologies and social trends.
- Synthesize complex information into accessible, clear, and concise summaries for internal communication. Support the preparation and polish of reports, presentations, or whitepapers according to assignments and instructions.
- Support the planning and execution of survey-type projects and engage with the community, experts, or stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as but not limited to Library and Information Science, Economics, International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy.
- Knowledge or keen interest in academic publishing and global S&T, economic and geopolitical landscape.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information from diverse sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with a keen attention to detail.
- Skillful in data processing and presentation applications such as Microsoft suites.
- Ability to work semi-independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
