Job Description:

1. Research Leadership

• Lead and conduct impactful, high-quality research projects aligned with the university’s strategic research priorities.
• Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at reputable international conferences.
• Develop innovative research proposals to attract competitive research grants and external funding.

2. Mentorship and Capacity Building

• Mentor and supervise postgraduate students and junior researchers.
• Foster a culture of research excellence and integrity across the university.
• Provide guidance on research design, methodology, and academic writing.

3. Collaboration and Networking

• Establish strategic research partnerships with local and international universities, industry, and healthcare institutions.
• Participate actively in professional networks and research associations.
• Promote interdisciplinary research collaborations across faculties.

4. Innovation and Knowledge Transfer

• Translate research findings into practical applications or innovations benefiting the healthcare industry and community.
• Contribute to patent development, commercialization, and consultancy projects where applicable.

5. Institutional Contribution

• Support the development and implementation of the university’s research strategy and policies.
• Serve on committees related to research, innovation, and academic quality enhancement.
• Represent the university in external research and academic forums.

Job Requirement:

Education:

• PhD in Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline.

• Postdoctoral or equivalent advanced research experience from a recognized institution.

• Additional certification or training in research management, leadership, or innovation (advantageous).

Knowledge and Experiences:

• Extensive experience in conducting and leading high-impact research projects at national or international levels.
• Proven record of publications in high-impact, indexed journals (Scopus/WoS).
• Demonstrated success in obtaining competitive research grants or external funding.
• Experience in mentoring postgraduate students and early-career researchers.
• Strong involvement in professional and academic networks or associations.
