Specialist - Product Owner

Role Purpose As Specialist - Product Owner at Accelya, you will independently manage Product Owner workstreams, driving backlog management, sprint planning and Agile product delivery and making a meaningful contribution to the quality and success of Accelya's airline software products. Duties & Responsibilities • Independently manage backlog management, sprint planning and Agile product delivery workstreams, delivering high-quality product outputs on time • Use Jira AI, Confluence AI and Claude for user story generation, acceptance criteria drafting and sprint planning support to improve the quality and efficiency of product workflows • Partner with engineering, design and commercial teams on product delivery and go-to-market • Analyse product metrics, customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product decisions • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs and product specifications • Conduct competitive analysis, monitoring Amadeus, Sabre, PROS and FLYR for market intelligence • Use generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for product documentation, analysis and stakeholder communications Required Experience & Skills • 3–5 years of product experience with a track record of independent delivery • Good product management skills including roadmapping, backlog management and stakeholder communication • Experience with Agile delivery and collaboration tools • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into product decisions • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Preferred Experience & Skills • Experience using Jira AI, Confluence AI and Claude for user story generation, acceptance criteria drafting and sprint planning support for product workflow acceleration, documentation quality and market research • Knowledge of airline technology markets and competitive products from Amadeus, Sabre, PROS and FLYR • Understanding of NDC, Modern Airline Retailing and how these standards are shaping next-generation airline software products • Familiarity with how AI is reshaping airline software — including AI-powered pricing, demand forecasting and NDC-native offer management What do we offer? • An open culture with a creative and challenging opportunity to satisfy your intellectual needs • Flexible working hours • Smart working: a hybrid remote/office working environment • Work-life balance • An excellent, dynamic and multicultural environment to work in About Accelya Accelya is a leading global software provider to the airline industry, powering over 200 airlines with an open, modular software platform.
