Description

Are you an experienced downstream technician with hands-on knowledge of chromatography, filtration, and UF/DF processes? Do you enjoy working independently while sharing your expertise with colleagues?

At AGC Biologics, we are looking for a Senior Technician to join our Mammalian Downstream Manufacturing team in Copenhagen.

You will work in a dynamic, GMP-regulated manufacturing environment where different products and customer requirements call for technical expertise, adaptability, and attention to detail. As part of the team, you will contribute to reliable production while helping strengthen the technical capabilities of your colleagues.

About the Job

As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for executing downstream purification processes and ensuring that manufacturing activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP requirements.

You will work independently within your area of expertise while collaborating with colleagues to meet production goals. The role requires strong process understanding, sound judgement, and the ability to adapt to different manufacturing setups without compromising quality.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Executing downstream purification processes, including chromatography, filtration, and ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF).
  • Operating chromatography systems, including UNICORN software, and applying your technical understanding during production.
  • Ensuring accurate GMP documentation and compliance with approved procedures and aseptic practices.
  • Supporting troubleshooting, deviation investigations, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Taking ownership of your training, technical qualifications, and development.
  • Sharing knowledge and providing hands-on training and guidance to less experienced colleagues.

As you become familiar with our processes, we expect you to take an active role in supporting the development of new colleagues and contributing to high standards of technical performance and GMP behaviour within the team.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an experienced technician with a solid understanding of downstream purification and a strong commitment to quality and compliance.

We imagine that you:

  • Have approximately 3–5 years of experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing, preferably within biopharmaceutical production.
  • Have an educational background as a Process Operator, Industrial Technician, Biotechnology Technician, or an equivalent relevant technical qualification.
  • Have hands-on experience with chromatography, filtration, and UF/DF processes.
  • Have a good understanding of UNICORN chromatography systems.
  • Are familiar with GMP requirements, aseptic practices, and accurate production documentation.
  • Can independently execute complex manufacturing activities and contribute to solving technical challenges.

Beyond your technical experience, we value colleagues who take ownership of their work and development, maintain high standards of quality, and contribute positively to the team.

You work in a structured way, adapt to changing production needs, and willingly share your knowledge. You communicate openly and understand when to ask for support or escalate an issue rather than compromise quality or compliance.

Working Hours

This is a night-shift position (18:00-05:04 or 20:00-07:04) in our Mammalian Downstream Manufacturing department in Copenhagen.

You will work according to an established shift schedule (5-2 in a 14 days period) supporting our manufacturing operations.

What We Offer

At AGC Biologics, you will join an international biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment where technical expertise, accountability, quality, and teamwork are central to how we work.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to work with different products and downstream manufacturing setups, developing your technical expertise.
  • A role where your experience matters, both in daily production and in supporting the development of your colleagues.
  • A supportive and approachable manager who values trust, accountability, and open communication.
  • A collaborative team environment where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are encouraged.
  • We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package, including pension, health insurance, and other benefits in accordance with local agreements.
  • Access to our canteen arrangement, Employee Club, and employee discount opportunities.

Interested?

If you have experience with downstream purification and are motivated by combining technical responsibility with quality and teamwork, we would like to hear from you.

Interested?

Please submit your application and CV through our recruitment system. Applications will be reviewed continuously, and we reserve the right to close the job posting once we have found the right candidate.
