- Develop strategic sales plans and forecasts for the territory.
- Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities in current and new product lines.
- Effectively communicate and turn over order details to Customer Service Representatives to help ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, reports, correspondence, and product/industry presentations to customers at all levels within the customer's company.
- Report on weekly sales activities, operations, and forecasting information.
- Ensure timely submission of expense reports.
- Consistently utilize the company CRM to document account calls, prospects, opportunities, activities, objectives, and results while maintaining accurate and current customer and pipeline information.
- Participate in company improvement programs such as strategic planning or continuous improvement programs.
- Participate and network in various industry associations and functions.
- Attend training and trade shows as required.
- Plan sales activities and customer visits to maximize territory coverage and maintain travel expenses within budget.
- Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or some college preferred.
- Minimum of one-year of outside B2B sales experience, preferably in construction, building materials, or a related industry.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred; demonstrated ability to consistently document and manage sales activity and opportunities is expected.
- Some overnight travel may occasionally be required for training, company meetings, trade shows, conferences, or other business needs.
- Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations within last 3 years on driving record.
