Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Unarmed in SAVANNAH, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a busy retail distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, respond to alarms, and provide professional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. This role offers the opportunity to use technology, communicate clearly, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Control access to restricted areas, receive and direct authorized personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
