Position: Director of Engineering

Location: Hybrid, Hod Hasharon

 

We're looking for a Director of Engineering to lead a group of software engineers responsible for the cloud platform and core services behind our large-scale enterprise SaaS product.

 

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will lead engineering managers, drive strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of our platform and engineering practices.

What you will do

• Lead and develop engineering managers and high-performing teams.
• Drive major initiatives including platform modernization and engineering transformations.
• Partner with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
• Improve engineering effectiveness, software quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Help define modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted software development.
• Recruit, retain, and grow top engineering talent.

What makes you an ideal candidate

• A leader who knows how to build strong engineering organizations that deliver through ownership, accountability, and trust
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams through engineering managers in a SaaS product organization
• Experienced in building and operating modern SaaS platforms at scale, with a strong understanding of cloud architectures and distributed systems
• Technically savvy, with the depth and curiosity to understand complex systems, challenge architectural decisions, and help teams navigate technical tradeoffs without needing to be hands-on every day.
• A customer-focused leader who measures engineering success through customer value, reliability, velocity, and business impact
• Excited by transformation, from platform modernization and better engineering practices to AI-assisted software development
• Able to balance long-term strategy with predictable, high-quality execution
