Sales Associate – NOLA / Birmingham

Location: New Orleans, LA

Message from the Hiring Manager:

We're looking for energetic, hungry individuals ready to launch their medical device sales careers at Caldera Medical, a fast-growing women's health company. As a Sales Associate (SA), you'll train alongside an experienced Caldera Representative based in Birmingham and a dedicated full-time Sales Associate Trainer. As part of the training program, you'll be assigned your own accounts to maintain and grow within the territory — an outstanding opportunity to develop as a medical device sales professional.

This role is based in New Orleans and covers the southern portion of the Birmingham Territory. Your primary focus will span New Orleans to Jackson, MS, and the Florida panhandle, occupying roughly 75% of your time (three of four weeks per month), mainly concentrated in Louisiana and along the Gulf Coast. The remaining 25% (one week per month) will be spent traveling to other parts of the Birmingham territory, including Birmingham itself.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train with a Territory Representative (TR) for 3 to 6 months.
  • Assume ownership for several accounts post training with TR for 3 to 6 months in a territory you will own upon successful completion of training program.
  • Travel 30-40% in order to:
    • Maintain all existing revenue.
    • Attend surgical cases in the operating room.
    • Build pipeline momentum of opportunities.
    • Secure hospital approvals and surgeon support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Less than 6 years of sales experience
  • Strong Relationship orientation and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to be coached and developed.
  • Willingness to train in another territory for 3 to 6 months
  • Must be willing to relocate anywhere in the U.S. upon promotion.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Outlook

Nice to Haves:

  • Sales experience in B2B, Pharma or an Associate Rep in Med Device
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork experience (i.e., athletics, extracurricular activities, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • A self-motivating, can-do attitude
