DIRECTOR OF NURSING for a flagship 160+ bed skilled nursing facility

A premier skilled nursing facility has opened a search for a collaborative, experienced Director of Nursing (DON). The DON will oversee clinical operations and staff for the 165+ bed facility, ensuring top quality healthcare and patient experience.
This facility has an amazing reputation and is started a multi-million dollar renovation.
This facility is one of over 35 facilities within a very successful multi-facility group of nursing facilities in the Northeast.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Coordination and direction of all nursing services.
- Close collaboration with the Executive Director of the facility
- Monitor, review, and addressing of all issues in inspection reports with the Executive Director
- Ownership of all nursing policies and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Acts as the face of the facility in and out of the building
- Participates in overall planning of the facility's goals and objectives
- Addresses and manages nursing staffing
Qualifications and Skills
- BSN Preferred
- 5+ yrs as Director of Nursing in a for-profit Long-Term Care facility.
- On call as necessary.
- CPR certified.
- Core understanding of Medicare guidelines.
