Job Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of Group Investment Banking’s Business Management team and will be responsible for the following areas:

Finance-related

• Reporting to Head of GIB on the income on weekly basis.
• Ensuring that fee income and expenses are accurately recorded in the Bank’s finance system.
• Monitoring and follow-up on invoicing and outstanding fee receivable.
• Performing monthly GL reconciliation.
• Submitting of reports to Business Finance for management reporting.
• Prepare and monitoring of department’s annual budget.
• Assist with internal audit matters, when necessary.
• Circulate of deal broadcast and maintenance of distribution list.
• Adhoc reporting as and when required.

Compliance-related

• Maintenance of restricted lists for confidential deals.
• Submission of regulatory returns and internal compliance reports.
• Maintenance of internal records/registers required (e.g. gifts and entertainment).

Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance is fundamental for this role.
• Proficient in MS office tools, especially excel.
• Numbers oriented and attention to details.
• Proactive and comfortable to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good team player and strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) as the role involves frequent interactions with internal stake holders.
• Knowledge of wholesale banking business is an advantage but not an essential requirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree from a recognized university (preferably Accountancy, Banking or Finance) or relevant professional qualification in financial services.
• At least 2 years in the banking/finance service would be preferred.  Experience in financial payments would be advantages.
