About this role

As a Medical Assistant at Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro, you will be an important part of a patient-centered care team that values compassion, teamwork, and excellence. In this role, you will help create a welcoming experience for patients and families while supporting physicians and RNs in delivering safe, high-quality care. Your work will help bring empathy amplified to life in a rural community setting where relationships matter and every interaction counts.

Key responsibilities

• Room patients and document key components of the rooming process

• Collect, document, and report patient data to support care planning

• Assist physicians and RNs with tests, procedures, and prescription verification

• Use the electronic medical record accurately and efficiently

• Reinforce patient and family teaching and help maintain a healing environment

What you will need

• Required, graduate of a Medical Assistant program

• Medical Assistant certification within 15 months of hire

• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients, families, and team members
