Job Summary:
The Partnership Manager is responsible for managing and growing SSP's strategic partner ecosystem across the UK insurance market. This role combines relationship management, commercial development, and market intelligence to ensure SSP maintains strong insurer and third-party partnerships whilst identifying new opportunities that drive revenue growth across the SSP Group product portfolio.Job Description:
Main Area of Responsibility
Owns SSP's UK insurer and third-party partner relationships, ensuring commercial productivity, contractual compliance, and long-term retention. Proactively identifies new capability partners and generates qualified leads through the partnership network to drive revenue growth across the SSP Group product portfolio.
Accountability
UK General Insurer Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of UK General Insurer partners — managing onboarding, contract renewals, and ongoing engagement to ensure high satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Collaborate with internal product and technical teams to align insurer requirements with SSP's platform capabilities and development roadmap; monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities to deepen integrations.
- Represent SSP at industry events, insurer forums, and sector conferences to raise profile an strengthen key relationships.
Third-Party & Capability Partner Management
- Manage relationships with key third-party providers including Data Enrichers, Finance Houses, and Payment Gateway providers — overseeing commercial agreements, SLAs, and performance reviews to ensure service quality and compliance.
- Act as internal champion for third-party integrations, working with technical and operations teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement; ensure all relationships align with SSP's data governance and regulatory obligations.
- Proactively identify and engage external partners who can provide new insurance product build capability — conducting market research, leading initial commercial discussions, and facilitating due diligence for prospective partners.
- Work with product and technology leadership to ensure new capability partners integrate effectively into SSP's delivery model.
New Business Lead Generation & Commercial Growth
- Leverage partnership networks to source qualified leads for SSP Group products, including Hosted Pricing Solutions and Adjacent Markets offerings.
- Develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies with strategic partners; work collaboratively with Sales and Commercial teams to hand off and progress partnership- sourced leads through the sales pipeline.
- Track and report on lead generation activity and the partnership channel's contribution to the overall sales pipeline.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a partnerships, business development, or relationship management role within the UK insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of the UK general insurance market, including insurer dynamics, distribution models, and key industry trends.
- Demonstrable experience managing third-party supplier or partner relationships, including commercial negotiation and contract management.
- Experience working within or alongside an InsurTech or SaaS business is highly desirable; an existing network across UK insurers, data enrichment providers, finance houses, or payment gateway providers would be a significant advantage.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of identifying and converting commercial opportunities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of seniority across a fast-paced, matrix organisation.
- Familiarity with hosted pricing, rating engines, or insurance software platforms is desirable.
