Prep Cook Responsibilities

• Perform many basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen.
• Effectively communicate with other team members of the kitchen staff.
• Gracefully receive constructive criticism as well as effectively carry out orders.
• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators.
• In a timely manner, properly store daily deliveries and foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during the shift and in set-up and clean down procedures; Clean designated work areas, equipment, and utensils; distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• A high school education or equivalent.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English comprehensively.
• Basic math skills and understand basic measurements.
