Overview

As a Chef at Suvai B.V., you'll prepare and present dishes under the guidance of the head chef while also managing the kitchen independently when needed. Responsibilities include ingredient selection and preparation, quality control, supervising kitchen assistants, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene standards. You'll also contribute to menu development and work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends. The role requires an MBO-3 diploma or equivalent experience, independent initiative, and solution-oriented approach. Description

We are Suvai B.V., a Indian restaurant, looking for a passionate

Independent Working Chef Level I to join our kitchen team. Are you a

skilled chef who thrives in the kitchen? As our chef, you will be responsible

for the preparation and presentation of dishes and meal components. You

will work under the guidance of our head chef or owner but can also

independently manage the kitchen when needed. Additionally, you will

collaborate with fellow chefs and, if required, supervise kitchen assistants.

You will follow established guidelines regarding ingredients, recipes,

working methods, and visual presentation. Our restaurant is located at

## Tasks

\-Selecting, preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.).

\-Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) and making adjustments as needed.

\-Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.

\-Supervising the work of kitchen assistants(hulpkracht) and making

corrections where necessary.

\-Maintaining inventory, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.

\-Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.

\-Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.

\-Providing input on menu composition, changes, and methods.

## Requirements

\- You take independent initiative and act solution-oriented.

\- You work with conviction and dare to take responsibility.

\- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
