The Motorman is responsible for assisting with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the vessel’s engine room machinery to ensure safe and efficient ship operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates main engine room machinery (engines, pumps, generators).

• Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs on mechanical equipment.

• Checks and maintains proper levels of oil, fuel, and cooling systems, reporting any abnormalities.

• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the engine room according to vessel procedures.
