Overview
Job Summary
The Paramedic Apprentice works under the direct supervision of a Paramedic and is responsible for assisting with emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment. Works under on-line and off-line medical control providing basic life support. The Paramedic Apprentice may also perform duties in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role, not necessarily under the direct supervision of a Paramedic.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports and assists with the delivery of patient care, under the direction of the Paramedic.
- Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of patient care equipment.
- Performs routine equipment function tests and calibrations.
- Assists with the inventory of supplies and equipment ensuring adequate supply levels.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Enrolled in accredited Paramedic program
- Experience: None-Required
- Supervisor Experience: None-Experience
- Class E Driver’s License
- EMT License
