At Exness, we are not just a leading trading broker—we’ve reimagined what it takes to be a leader. With 2,000+ people across 13 countries, we combine scale, care, and real tech to make trading better for over a million clients globally.

Recognised globally as a Best Place to Work, we’re a people-first company where long-term wins always matter more. As part of our team, you will shape the future of fintech with real technology, care, and purpose.

Why this role matters

Solution Architect acts as an acknowledged expert in solution architecture, guiding development teams to create robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. Provides strategic input into the technological and architectural roadmap for the domain, and coordinates the adoption of architectural principles across teams.

The role's main goal is to establish a robust architectural framework, aligned with company strategy, that supports system performance and engineering excellence.

The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.

What you'll actually do

  • Design and define future architecture based on the strategic goals of the company, available resources, and identified gaps in the current development of the system.
  • Define how the system looks in the context of the business domain, aligning it with the global architecture of the entire company.
  • Collaborate with architects from other tribes to align architecture with company-wide approaches.
  • Translate business needs into architectural direction across project stages. Prepare architecture visions that describe the problem, objectives, assumptions, risks, non-functional requirements, and viable solution options.
  • Provide architectural input into business requirements, aligning domain needs with company strategy and defining technical implementation direction across project stages.
  • Advise on technology choices and manage their lifecycle within the domain, including assessment, adoption, exceptions, migration, and retirement in line with company standards and the Technology Radar
  • Evaluate the architectural fit of LLM-based solutions and help teams move from experimentation to production-ready designs
  • Assess designs and implementations against agreed architecture and quality criteria. Address security, availability, disaster recovery, and other relevant non-functional requirements early, involving specialist teams when needed. Close collaboration with DI, DBA, Sec, Infra is expected
  • Identify and describe architectural problems from a technical debt perspective and create proposals for improvement, taking into account existing risks and development prospects. Contribute to technical discussions through code reviews and focused proofs of concept when they help validate architectural decisions.
  • Shape architectural procedures, coordinate standards across engineering teams, and educate engineers in design principles to elevate discipline maturity

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial software development and no more than 5 years ago
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, Software Architect or Solution Architect
  • Experience designing high-load, low-latency systems that process real-time market data, orders, executions, or positions, or comparable high-throughput customer-facing systems.
  • Ability to do code review in popular programming languages, especially using LLM
  • Ability to implement on yourself focused proofs of concept to validate your decisions and proposals
  • Experience working with the relevant technology stack: C++/C#/Java/Go or Python , PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, REST, GRPC, k8s, Nomad, Consul
  • Above-average information security and anti-fraud skills
  • Ability to create documents and knowledge of methods and tools for creating architectural artifacts
  • Ability to contribute features to architectural tools and systems
  • Understanding of trading flows and concepts such as pricing, order execution, account and position state, margin, and settlement
  • Experience designing customer-facing journeys or platforms, including registration, authentication and verification, personal areas, or customer-facing APIs
  • Understanding of customer identity and profile data, including data ownership, sensitive data protection, access control, and integrations with KYC or verification processes
