What we're looking for:
We need a mid-level associate with 5-7 years of litigation experience and a demonstrated focus on financial services litigation who can hit the ground running supporting two named partners in our New York office. You should have hands-on experience representing financial services participants — broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, financial advisors, and similar clients — in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters. An active New York bar license in good standing is required.
What you'll do:
- Manage all phases of complex commercial and financial services litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial prep and appeals
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, and memoranda in federal and state courts as well as arbitration proceedings
- Conduct and defend depositions in high-stakes financial services disputes
- Oversee document review and e-discovery in large-scale matters involving financial institutions and regulated entities
- Advise financial institution clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and regulatory exposure across areas including SEC, FINRA, CFPB, and OCC matters
- Collaborate directly with partners on case strategy, client relationships, and business development
- Perform legal research on complex regulatory and common-law issues spanning consumer finance litigation (FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, RESPA, TCPA, EFTA), regulatory enforcement defense, broker-dealer disputes, and fintech/digital assets
