Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap and value realisation of digital products supporting Common Data Environment (CDE), construction digitalisation and information management.

The role sits at the intersection of product management, construction technology and business transformation. You will work across project delivery, design, construction, operations and technology teams to improve how information is created, governed, shared and reused throughout the asset lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction delivery processes, BIM-enabled workflows, information governance and digital handover, with experience working with CDE, BIM or construction collaboration platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap and investment priorities for CDE and construction digitalisation products.
  • Work with project delivery, estate management, development, operations and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital improvement.
  • Drive the digitalisation of design management, construction management, document control, collaboration, handover and operational readiness processes.
  • Develop product strategies that improve information quality, governance, traceability and accessibility throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Prioritise enhancements across document management, workflows, system integrations, BIM coordination, digital submissions and reporting.
  • Translate business and user requirements into a prioritised product backlog and clear product outcomes.
  • Make informed trade-offs across business value, user needs, risk, cost, technical dependencies and delivery constraints.
  • Define product adoption metrics, success measures and value-realisation outcomes to guide product decisions.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, operations teams and technology partners to align digital delivery objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Manage product dependencies, risks and stakeholder expectations while supporting incremental delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, construction digitalisation, information management, project delivery, asset management or a related field.
  • Proven experience defining product strategies, roadmaps, priorities and measurable outcomes for enterprise digital products or platforms.
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery processes, BIM-enabled workflows and Common Data Environment principles.
  • Good understanding of project-to-operations information and digital handover processes.
  • Experience improving document control, collaboration, approval, coordination, digital submission or information governance processes within the built environment.
  • Ability to translate business, user and operational requirements into clear product priorities and actionable backlogs.
  • Experience balancing user value, strategic priorities, delivery effort, technical constraints, risks and lifecycle costs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across project teams, consultants, contractors, operations teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of information quality, metadata, data ownership, auditability, traceability and lifecycle governance.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary design, engineering, architecture and delivery teams in Agile or product-oriented environments.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to explain product decisions and delivery trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CDE, BIM or construction collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Platform Services (APS), Nemetschek, LeapThought, Bentley, Procore, Oracle Aconex or equivalent platforms.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 concepts, including information requirements, status, revision, suitability, approval and delivery workflows.
  • Experience within construction, property development, facilities management, asset operations or the wider built environment.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination, digital engineering, model and document management, digital submissions and project-to-operations handover.
  • Experience defining and tracking product adoption, performance, user experience and value-realisation metrics.
  • Understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, master data, reporting, analytics and platform ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, governance, compliance or public-sector digitalisation initiatives.
