FINANCIAL AUDITOR II

The nature of audits are diverse and span across all areas of operations and so many opportunities to learn more about our business at TJX in the US and around the Globe!  The Financial Auditor will have the opportunity to assist and lead a variety of audits including financial audits relied upon by our external auditors, operational audits, integrated audits, and other Ad hoc projects. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:


What you’ll do

  • Execute risk-based audits, including communicating findings with clients in a clear and timely manner; writing audit reports that are meaningful and comprehensive; working with management to develop action plans to remediate findings and address areas for improvement; and track corrective actions through to completion.
  • Partner cross-functionally to plan and execute new and existing audit programs, including determining risks, scope and planned procedures, while making process improvements.
  • Seek, learn, and use new audit techniques, as necessary, and share knowledge with internal customers.
  • Provide guidance or consulting on the development of applicable procedures and policies and the remediation of known issues.
  • Coordinate with auditors from our foreign offices to perform global compliance reviews, including foreign statutory compliance.
  • Work directly with external auditors on financial audits.
  • Perform detailed reviews of SOX compliance testing performed by department management as well as some independent testing of SOX controls.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced auditors.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

 

What you’ll need

  • 2+ years relevant work experience in public accounting preferred
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • CIA/CPA preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to details, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical internal audit skills, including a solid understanding of internal controls
  • Experience using modern data prep, modeling, or reporting software, including Power BI preferred

This position has a starting salary range of USD $85,600.00 to $109,200.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
