As the SIBG Global Sales Incentives Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.


You will play a pivotal role in advancing the Global Commercial Center by coordinating and executing SIBG’s global sales incentive strategy. You will support global sales incentive planning, territory and quota management, sales performance management, governance, analytics, and incentive administration, helping translate strategic direction into consistent and effective execution across Areas, Divisions, and Channels.

You will partner with global Sales, Finance, HR, and business teams to drive alignment, strengthen program execution, and ensure global standards are effectively implemented while addressing regional and market requirements.


Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Global Sales Incentive Strategy Execution: Coordinate and execute SIBG’s global sales incentive strategy, translating established priorities and design principles into consistent processes and programs across Areas, Divisions, and Channels.
  • Incentive Plan Design & Implementation: Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global Sales Incentive Plans (SIP), including plan measures, mechanics, eligibility, sales crediting, and incentive structures aligned with business priorities and 3M Pay Principles.
  • Sales Planning, Territory & Quota Management: Coordinate global sales planning, territory design, and quota processes, partnering with Finance, Sales Operations, and business teams to support financial alignment, data accuracy, and timely execution.
  • Global Program Management: Manage the annual global sales incentive planning and administration cycle, coordinating key milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder actions across global teams.
  • Governance Coordination: Support SIBG Global Sales Compensation Governance by coordinating SIP and SPIFF reviews and escalations, developing analysis and recommendations, tracking decisions, and supporting implementation of approved actions.
  • Sales Performance Management: Coordinate business processes and requirements for SIBG’s Sales Performance Management capabilities, supporting sales planning, territory and quota management, performance visibility, payment approvals, and incentive administration.
  • Performance Analytics & Insights: Develop and maintain global reporting and analytics to monitor incentive performance, quota attainment, payout outcomes, and plan effectiveness, providing insights that support leadership decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Incentive Administration & Controls: Coordinate global standards and controls for incentive administration, sales crediting, account classification, Point-of-Sale reporting, payment approvals, and data quality to support accurate and timely incentive outcomes.
  • Global Stakeholder Coordination: Partner across Commercial Excellence, Sales, Finance, HR, Sales Operations, Divisions, Channels, and Areas to coordinate global execution, resolve operational issues, and support alignment across business and regional requirements.
  • Communication & Enablement: Coordinate global communications, training, and enablement for sales participants, managers, and business leaders to support understanding and effective execution of incentive plans, quota methodology, performance management, and compensation processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate global sales incentive processes and tools, improving scalability, efficiency, and the stakeholder experience.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (Completed and verified prior to start)
  • Ten (10) years combined experience in sales, marketing, commercial management, sales operations, incentive compensation plan design, process improvement, or governance in a private, public, government or military environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Strong detail orientation, organizational, and prioritization skills and excellent reliability
  • Consistently seeking, developing, implementing, & sharing best practices
  • Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Motivated to effectively work in a fast-paced environment successfully managing change/ambiguity with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Experience with Sales Performance Management software
  • Experience with training in a private, public, or military environment
  • Takes ownership of all aspects of role and seeks to uplevel processes over time

Work location:

  • This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic or international

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
