Position Details
- Schedule: Part-Time | 27.5 hours per week.
- Days: Monday–Friday.
- Hours: 12:15–5:45 PM.
- Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour (based on education and experience).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Grace Beginnings Academy Junior Preschool Assistant Teacher is passionate about caring for young learners in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the lead teacher and supports each child’s physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth. This role helps implement Christ-centered lessons and activities rooted in play and exploration.
- Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Assist in completing daily activity documentation and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
- Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and take responsibility for completing duties that keep the facility orderly.
- Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
- Foster positive relationships with parents at drop-off or pick-up.
- Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
- Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential to this position.
- Maintain licensing compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Educational requirements: High School Diploma required.
- Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant.
- Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
