JOB DESCRIPTION
Housekeeping Supervisor - HOUSEKEEPING
Who We Are
Sitting on a quiet tree-lined street in Soho, twelve floors rise above the neighborhood’s storied lofts, boutiques, and galleries. The name derives from the particular manner of hospitality, one that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel — discreet, refined, generous. Our hotel has 97 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The street-side seafood restaurant and second floor cocktail bar will be venues that are open to the public. The Apartment and The Rooftop are spaces reserved exclusively for guests and friends of guests.
Purpose of the Role:
The Housekeeping Supervisor supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. The position supervises Room Attendants, Housemen, and other housekeeping staff to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the hotel’s standards.
The Housekeeping Supervisor conducts regular room and public-area inspections, provides guidance and feedback to team members, and assists with training and coaching to maintain consistent quality and efficiency. - Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints and communicate issues to the appropriate department or manager.
- Provide hands-on assistance to Room Attendants and Housekeeping staff when necessary.

- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate important information, assignments, special requests, and operational priorities.
- Monitor attendance, call-outs, staffing levels, and daily workload and report concerns to the housekeeping management team.
- Ensure adequate supplies, linens, towels, guest amenities, and cleaning products are available on assigned floors.
- Monitor linen and supply usage and report shortages or unusual usage to management.
- Ensure housekeeping closets, equipment, and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, lost-and-found items, and other room conditions to the appropriate department.
- Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure rooms are returned to proper condition in a timely manner.
- Ensure all housekeeping employees follow proper safety procedures and chemical-handling requirements.
- Assist with monthly safety training and reinforce safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate housekeeping records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
