Position Summary
The Mental Health DSP provides direct support to adults with mental illness, helping them achieve recovery and independent living goals in a safe, supportive residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care and support.
- Assist clients with daily living skills, budgeting, transportation, and community integration.
- Support treatment goals and document services provided.
- Supervise or administer medications as trained.
- Facilitate recreational and community activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with agency standards.
- Help ensure a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in mental health, human services, caregiving, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must meet all background check and training requirements.
