Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Security in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a healthcare security professional, helping support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related situations including restricted-area access and behavioral concerns, and provide compassionate customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and other customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
