Class 5Work Shift:
2ND SHIFT (United States of America)This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
Functions:
- To perform all work duties safely, as well as maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.
- Receive training as required.
- Perform other duties/positions as required/assigned.
Tasks:
- Read the daily schedule and determine batch sequence.
- Communicate with direct line suppliers to ensure correct ingredients are used for each batch.
- Properly receive and label incoming raw materials.
- Mix pickle using correct ingredients per process orders.
- Run the injection line obtaining the correct pump targets and using correct ingredients per the batch sheets and process orders.
- Transfer product into polar massager and activate massage program.
- Unload and clean Polar Massagers as needed.
- Operate the stuffing line using casing and ingredients according to the Process orders.
- Demold and record finished logs accurately using Hus and PoD tags correctly.
- Move combos to and from the racks using stand up and sit down forklifts.
- Inspect equipment for possible foreign material before and after each batch.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Set-up and teardown equipment.
- Enter all required information into the Plant View QA System.
- Complete all required production documents and submit to supervisor daily.
- Report any issues related to maintenance or quality of the product to supervisor.
- TM will also be responsible for covering all other areas in the manufacturing department when needed to cover for vacations, absenteeism, temporary vacancies, etc.
- Plant View is preferred.
- Forklift certified or must become certified.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds (with assistance).
- The Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
- The Team Member will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud.
- The Team Member will operate equipment using a touch screen.
Internal Requirements At Time Of Application:
- You must not exceed more than 4 attendance points.
- You must not have received a written warning within the last 3 months.
- TM's who have won a bid will not be permitted to lateral bid for 6 months, TM can bid to a higher level job.
- TM will be under a 2-week qualification period if supervisor disqualifies TM, then TM will return back to previous position.
- TM has 2 weeks to notify HR from the date they physically start new position to disqualify themselves if so, they will return to previous position.
- TM understands if they do self-disqualify to not continue in the awarded position they will not be allowed to bid for 6 months.
- Probationary team members must have completed 90 days before they can be considered.
