Position Description:
The Records Management Specialist - Supervisor provides oversight and manages the implementation of a records management program for a government agency to ensure that adequate and proper documentation is maintained throughout the record life cycle. In addition, the Records Management Special – Supervisor will supervise other designated contractor staff supporting the same federal division.
Position Duties:
• Records Management:
o Oversee and manage the implementation of the records management program.
o Oversee the tracking of records and information assets throughout the records’ lifecycle (from receipt to disposition).
o Create processes and procedures in support of records and information management agency requirements.
o Develop processes for large scale records collections, scanning and data entry.
o Oversee the capture of paper records by scanning digital form.
o Provide weekly/monthly analytical reports on activities.
o Conduct quality control of document image results.
o Ensure that all work adheres to agency/department standards for correctness and quality.
o Devise and implement processes to catalog records data into a content management system (ACF Records Management System).
Supervisory duties:
o Act as mentor and provide training and technical assistance to GDIT contractors supporting records management as well as other similar cross functional areas.
o Performance Management and Onboarding:
Monitors and supports the progress of individual team members on an ongoing basis to ensure that the team is supported and meets all expectations and timelines.
Provides updates and new guidance to the team as needed per division requirements.
Provides technical assistance to team members as needed.
Provides training for new staff on all elements of the division’s programming and GDIT processes.
Monitors program areas being supported by GDIT staff and provide suggestions on process improvement when applicable.
Provides oversight of the quality of work and deliverables to the customer.
Monitors staff performance, providing additional training and feedback as needed.
Completes Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary.
Completes annual performance evaluations and monitors staff’s progress towards annual goals.
o Reviews monthly reports; approves and submits consolidated reports as needed.
o Reviews and approve timecards, leave requests, and expense reports as applicable.
o Supports PMO with recruitment efforts including conducting interviews.
• Develops and maintains training materials, job aids, and SOPs to support the team’s performance.
• Serves as primary point of contact for stakeholder questions, requests, and concerns related to designated team.
Qualifications:
• Requires a BA/BS in a related discipline with at least 5 years of related experience.
• Requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work independently and perform complex tasks.
• Experience engaging with records custodians to identify records, capture functions and business process information.
• Ability to ensure and apply proper retention to records in paper and electronic format.
• Experience with Electronic Content Management Systems and/or Recordkeeping Systems.
• Experience with drafting, maintaining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strong understanding of NARA requirements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Requirements
• This position requires an existing MBI T2 Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.
• This role and associated duties will be performed on site at a government facility located in Washington, DC.
• Travel: less than 10%.

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
