Job Summary:
Medical Assistant – D’Youville Pavilion
D’Youville Pavilion (DYP) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our provider team in a post-acute care setting. This position is different from a traditional Medical Assistant role in an outpatient practice and is ideal for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
The Medical Assistant will work closely with the DYP provider team, which includes our Medical Director, physicians, and Nurse Practitioners, to support daily provider operations and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain provider schedules in EPIC.
- Coordinate daily provider schedules and patient visits.
- Assist with ensuring provider time is accurately captured for billable patient visits.
- Monitor provider documentation and ensure completed documentation is delivered to the onsite billing resource.
- Support the provider team in meeting daily, weekly, and monthly volume goals.
- Assist with clinical duties within the Medical Assistant's scope of practice.
- Support providers with patient visits, documentation, and other daily needs.
- Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, leadership, and other members of the care team.
- Assist with quality improvement and process initiatives designed to improve efficiency and the patient experience at DYP.
- Maintain required competencies and complete annual compliance requirements.
- Support and promote the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
- Perform other duties consistent with the role.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant through a nationally recognized organization.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC preferred.
- Experience in a post-acute, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or hospital setting is a plus.

Comp Range:
$21.55 - $29.68Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
