The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $104,215.00 to $173,692.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities
The Process Excellence Lead Analyst is responsible for complex, enterprise process improvement engagements, leading high-impact, cross-functional transformations from current-state discovery and alignment through implementation, governance, and sustained benefits realization. Acting as the Process Excellence Manager's lead practitioner and delegate, this position provides work direction and quality oversight to analysts, influences priorities across business and technology teams, and develops business cases for AI, workflow, RPA, and other digital solutions with measurable financial and operational outcomes, often presenting these solutions. This role has significant interaction with senior leaders, responsibility for quality oversight, and accountability for coordinating multiple high-impact initiatives.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Engagement LeadershipLead end-to-end process improvement engagements, including scoping, discovery, analysis, design, implementation, and post-implementation review, with responsibility for the Bank’s more complex, high-impact, or cross-functional assignments.Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business owners, process owners, front-line staff, and senior leaders to document pain points, define improvement opportunities, validate requirements, and align on future-state design.Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and success measures, and manage engagements to committed dates.Coordinate multiple concurrent engagements that may span business units, technology platforms, risk partners, and third parties; escalate and help resolve barriers to delivery.Mentor and provide day-to-day process excellence guidance to analysts and business analysts, including coaching on discovery, facilitation, process mapping, root cause analysis, metrics, and recommendation development; review work products for quality and consistency.
Analysis & DesignDraft and maintain current-state and future-state process documentation, including process maps, procedures, workflows, roles and responsibilities, control points, handoffs, decision points, volumes, effort, cycle times, defects, and cost.Perform root cause analysis and develop data-supported recommendations for complex operational issues involving multiple functions, systems, or control requirements.Design future-state processes with embedded controls, clear ownership, measurable performance indicators, reporting requirements, and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory expectations.Build business cases that quantify expected benefits, implementation effort, capacity impact, cost, risk reduction, and client or employee experience improvements.Evaluate solution alternatives and provide recommendations to business owners and senior leaders, clearly communicating trade-offs, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
Automation, RPA & AI EnablementIdentify and specify automation, RPA, bot, workflow, and AI opportunities within business processes, including opportunities with significant cross-functional impact.Partner with Technology, Digital Innovation, Risk, Compliance, vendors, and the AI Enablement Lead on solution design, requirements, testing, deployment, and stabilization.Assess value, feasibility, risk, readiness, control needs, and expected outcomes to help prioritize automation opportunities.Lead or coordinate user acceptance testing, change management, communications, training, and adoption activities for complex solutions.
Reporting & Continuous ImprovementTrack and report benefits realized against baseline for completed engagements and follow up with business owners when results are at risk.Develop process performance metrics, dashboards, and baseline measures to monitor throughput, cycle time, quality, capacity, risk reduction, adoption, and benefits realization after implementation.Prepare clear executive summaries and readouts of findings, recommendations, risks, decisions, and outcomes for senior leaders and governance forums.Contribute to and help maintain process excellence methodology, templates, standards, prioritization practices, quality expectations, and the enterprise process inventory.Promote continuous improvement capability by sharing tools, coaching analysts and business partners, and supporting consistent application of process excellence practices
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Information Systems, IT, Finance, or related field; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 9 years experience in process improvement, operational excellence, business analysis, consulting, or process reengineering, including experience leading complex cross-functional process redesign efforts with measurable outcomes
- Experience presenting recommendations to senior leaders
- Advanced knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable process improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated success leading complex process redesign efforts with measurable outcomes and cross-functional transformations
- Advanced analytical and financial acumen, including advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar tools
- Excellent facilitation, consultation, presentation, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience shaping and supporting delivery automation or RPA
- Experience using process mapping, workflow documentation, or operational analysis tools such as Visio, Jira, BigPicture, or comparable platforms.
- Willingness and ability to mentor other analysts
Preferences:
- 3 years experience in banking or financial services
- Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
