During your placement as Agile Sourcing Intern you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for all Sourcing and Contracting activities supporting BMS. This is a hands-on, high-impact role offering exposure to end-to-end procurement operations within a global biopharmaceutical company. You will contribute to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day sourcing activities, working alongside experienced professionals and cross-functional partners. 

Activities you will be involved in include: 

 

• Drive best practice development across core sourcing processes, including onboarding, team training, systems access management, and internal communications frameworks 

• Support the design and continuous improvement of RFP templates and benchmarking methodologies to ensure consistency, competitiveness, and alignment with industry standards 

• Actively participate in benchmarking exercises, gathering and analysing market data to inform sourcing decisions and support category strategy 

• Manage and maintain Globality and Icertis workspaces, ensuring data integrity, and coordinating project workflows  

• Contribute to bid analysis and evaluation, helping the team assess supplier proposals and prepare clear, structured summaries and recommendations 

• Support contract negotiation processes, attending supplier discussions and collaborating with Legal and other functions to ensure commercial and compliance requirements are met 

• Coordinate supplier presentations and scorecards, helping to prepare evaluation materials  

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, and business partners to support integrated sourcing outcomes and aligned decision-making 

• Contribute to AI and digital tool adoption within the sourcing function, exploring how tools such as GenAI and Procure@BMS can streamline procurement workflows and improve team efficiency 

• Identify and document process improvement opportunities, contributing fresh perspectives to help the team evolve its ways of working 

 

What Qualities Are We Looking For?  

 

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can collaborate in teams and have the willingness to learn.   

 

• Business Management or Supply Chain/Logistics discipline of study 

• Passionate about the biopharma sector and innovation in healthcare 

• Strong communication skills 

• Ability to work as a member of a team 

• Energetic, collaborative and dedicated 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI usage.

Compensation Overview:

2, 213.90 € per month

Pay for this internship/co‑op position is provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable laws. Pay may be offered as an hourly rate and/or monthly stipend, or other locally compliant structure. Pay is determined based on objective factors such as academic level, relevant experience, skills, and work location.

Interns and co‑op participants may be eligible for limited benefits depending on program structure, work location, and local requirements. Eligibility and offerings are governed by applicable policies and employment regulations.

This is a temporary, time‑bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co‑op program and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment following program completion.
