Position Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials, tools, and equipment. This role supports construction operations by ensuring materials are delivered on time to meet project schedules. The Delivery Driver assists with loading and unloading materials, maintains company vehicles and equipment, and completes all required DOT and company documentation. Successful candidates are dependable, safety-focused, organized, and committed to protecting company assets, supporting field, and warehouse team.Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, warehouses, and prefabrication facilities.
- Follow directions from supervisors and demonstrate a willingness to learn new processes and responsibilities.
- Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles while ensuring materials are handled safely and securely.
- Keep company trucks in a clean, organized, and hazard-free condition.
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance, safety, or operational issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Warehouse Manager.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
- Maintain a safe driving record and operate vehicles in a professional and responsible manner at all times.
- Complete required delivery, DOT, and company documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support warehouse and delivery operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Able to meet DOT driver qualifications and pass DOT physical.
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
PREFERRED:
- Two of more years of driving a non-CDL commercial motor vehicle
- Working Knowledge of Plumbing
