Job Description

Director, KOL & Society Engagement and Strategy - Coronary Vascular (North America)

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of cardiovascular care. As Director of KOL & Society Engagement Strategy, you will lead Philips' engagement with the world's foremost clinical experts and professional societies, shaping product strategy, clinical research, market positioning, and educational initiatives. Working closely with the IGT Chief Medical Office and senior cross-functional leaders, you will build high-impact partnerships that elevate thought leadership, accelerate innovation, and help bring life-changing technologies to patients worldwide.

This role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Organize strategic Advisory Boards as needed, capture all feedback, and ensure insights are communicated back to business, category leadership, and content and engagement teams.
  • Partner with content and engagement leaders to develop messaging strategies and provide voice-of-customer (VOC) insights that inform content and engagement plans.
  • Identify, nurture, and leverage current and emerging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for research, innovation, and ambassador programs, while maintaining strong long-term relationships.
  • Establish and manage a centralized KOL database and governance framework, including KOL identification, selection, usage, budgeting, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration across business units and markets.
  • Deliver a KOL strategy aligned with business and portfolio priorities, focusing on key account segments, decision-makers and influencers, major product launches, prioritized customer journeys, and the 24-month campaign plan.

You’re the right fit:

  • You have 10+ years of relevant experience in the coronary vascular space focused on diagnostic and invasive imaging and physiology.
  • Your experience should include 6+ years of demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and/or training and education. This is a people leadership role, and prior people management experience is preferred, particularly within sales, marketing, or training and education functions.
  • You have strong clinical expertise and knowledge of the coronary interventional imaging domain and/or knowledge of the minimally invasive space along with exceptional leadership, influencing, organizational, and project management skills. You can prioritize effectively, think strategically, build and maintain executive-level relationships, and collaborate across global teams. Bonus qualifications include international/global experience, experience developing corporate learning and development strategies, and proficiency with CRM/project management tools and vendor partnerships.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional or military experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You are an effective communicator who can present to diverse internal and external audiences, including executive leadership, business partners, and Key Opinion Leaders. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate strong collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, and change management capabilities. You are results-oriented, resilient, authentic, and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is a field role.

About Philips:

We are a health technology company. We built our entire company around the belief that every human matters, and we won't stop until everybody everywhere has access to the quality healthcare that we all deserve. Do the work of your life to help improve the lives of others.
