About the roleAutomated distribution centers only perform as well as the data that feeds them. In this role, you'll own the governance of item, vendor, and location master data that drives induction, slotting, storage, and flow through our Automation DCs. You'll set the standards, measure data health, run down root causes when bad data disrupts operations, and partner with suppliers, merchants, replenishment, engineering, and DC operations to keep data accurate at the source.
- Own the standards. Set and maintain the master data standards automation depends on: item dimensions and weights, case and pack configurations, tie/hi, conveyability and handling attributes, GTIN/UPC accuracy, and location and slotting attributes.
- Run the governance program. Define data owners and stewardship across teams, write the data quality rules, manage how attributes get created and changed, and keep a correction-of-errors process with closed feedback loops.
- Monitor data health. Build and run reporting on data accuracy, attribute completeness, and the downstream cost of bad data: induction rejects, non-conveyable exceptions, rework, and manual handling.
- Resolve exceptions. Root-cause escalated operational issues tied to master data, then coordinate corrections across item setup, supplier, and DC teams.
- Drive supplier compliance. Lead attribute audits with suppliers, communicate data and packaging expectations, and use scorecards to measure and correct performance.
- Shape new capabilities. Partner with automation engineering and technology teams on new DC launches, system integrations, and data requirements, so data readiness is built in before go-live.
- Find savings. Spot and quantify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities that come from improving data quality, using lean and end-to-end costing.
- Lead through influence. Align stakeholders without direct authority, present recommendations when goals conflict, and give senior leadership clear and actionable insight.
