Job Description

As a Security Officer Northeast Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge-related processes, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with Allied Universal, bringing agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity to each shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and notification protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
