- Fit, assemble, and weld aluminum and steel components with precision — proper alignment, tolerances, and structural integrity every time.
- Perform production welding on repeat‑run trailer components while maintaining consistent quality and efficiency.
- Support custom fabrication and prototyping by building one‑off parts, test assemblies, and new design concepts.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to solve fit‑up challenges and refine prototype designs.
- Select appropriate welding processes (MIG/TIG) and parameters based on material type, thickness, and project requirements.
- Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure accurate fit‑up and repeatability.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, torches, grinders, hoists, and welding machines.
- Inspect welds and assemblies against internal quality standards and customer specifications.

- Strong fitting skills: able to read drawings, lay out parts, check tolerances, and build accurate assemblies.
- Experience in both production and custom fabrication settings.
- Ability to build, modify, or work with jigs and fixtures to support repeatability and accuracy.
- Comfortable with prototyping, one‑off builds, and solving fit‑up challenges on the fly.
- Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
- Solid understanding of weld quality standards, distortion control, and proper heat management.
- Strong problem‑solving instincts and attention to detail.
- Genuine pride in the quality of your work.
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship or equivalent trade certification required.
