Lead Engineer, REC Products -PLM for Pulp & Energy Business Line (based in Chennai, India)
Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and service-minded team player we are looking for?
We are looking for “Lead engineer (REC products) ” to be based in Chennai, India. This position reports to “Head- Product Line Management ”. In this position you will have an opportunity to be a Lead Process design and application engineer for the Recovery products such as Chemical recovery boilers (RB) & NCG/DNCG systems in paper plants.
This role includes a wide range of different responsibilities, such as,
- Perform design calculations for Chemical recovery boilers and environmental system products such as NCG / DNCG systems.
- Prepare technical specification for proposal document including deviation and clarifications to the tender document.
- Prepare technical specification for the auxiliary equipment & TBE (Technical bid evaluation) for the offers from suppliers.
- Lead and perform process engineering activities such as, creating PI&Ds, pipe sizing, pump capacity calculations, valve specification, safety valves specification etc.
- Prepare pipeline list, Valve list and equipment list
- Provide inputs to Instruments and control valves/dampers.
- Perform HAZOP study together other disciplines and/or customer
- Identify and work in cooperation with sub suppliers for the product localization
- To be able to handle customer queries
- To support erection and commissioning team for trouble shooting
To succeed this role, you will need:
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical) from reputed university. ME/M.Tech degree is added advantage. Relevant Experience: 5- 10 years. To possess knowledge of Process design of Steam boilers (Thermo-hydraulic design, Circulation, metal temperature calculations) and/or environmental systems and its auxiliaries. To possess knowledge on heat transfer, heat and mass balance and chemical stoichiometric calculations. To possess knowledge on various flue gas emission requirement and their measurement standards globally. Proficiency in Microsoft office tools (ACAD – added advantage). Knowledge on COMOS tool is an added advantage. Knowledge on ASME/EN Standards on requirements on piping and pressure vessels and process engineering requirement. Compliance to company’s code of conduct and HSEQ requirements. To possess interest to work in large process industry. Solid oral and written communication skills. Has to be a good team member and an independent contributor good written and spoken English
