Description
The Waiver Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting our Home and Community Based Services by coordinating waiver applications, maintaining eligibility requirements, assisting with office operations, and providing exceptional customer service to clients, caregivers, and staff.
What You'll Do
As a Waiver Coordinator, you will:
Process Participant-Directed Services (PDS) background checks
Assist with Medicaid Waiver application processing
Verify monthly eligibility for Case Management and Attendant Care billing
Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
Welcome and assist visitors
Maintain office fax inbox and distribute documents appropriately
Process outgoing mail and order office supplies
Prepare reports and assist with invoice processing
Communicate updates with clients and caregivers
Conduct routine client satisfaction calls
Assist with Critical Incident Reports as needed
Cross-train with multiple departments and provide support where needed
Assist with HR projects and office coordination
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 2 years of administrative, healthcare, or business experience
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medicaid or Home and Community Based Waiver programs
Healthcare or human services administrative experience
