What You Bring to SBHG (Qualifications):
Education & Licensure:
Active, valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license.
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology.
Associate degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience with medication administration (Required).
One (1) year of experience treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting (Preferred).
Safety & Compliance:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Current CPR certification.
First Aid certification from an approved provider (such as the American Red Cross).
How you will make a difference:
The LVN / LPT is responsible for providing direct client care, including medication administration and supervising the nursing activities of unit staff. Key duties include ordering, preparing, and documenting medications according to physician orders and confirming pharmacy deliveries. The role also requires communicating important information to the team, writing weekly client summaries as assigned, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation throughout the shift. This position also performs other related duties as needed.
Division/Program Overview:
The TAY Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) facility is a short-term voluntary residential
facility. Designed to help Transitional Age Youth (TAY), ages 18-25, who experience a psychiatric crisis to safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to community.
Services include:
24/7 Program
Therapeutic and mental health services
Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
Medication evaluation and support services
Daily exercise and health/wellness education
Crisis intervention
