What we are looking for:
- Recently qualified or experienced in personal training with a passion for making a difference to the everyday life of others
- CIMSPA Practitioner or a Level 3 in personal training (or above)
- An individual who is kind, compassionate and treats others with respect
- Approachable and able to engage with residents living with a dementia
Are you able to provide the following?:
- Confident with delivering group and individual activities that will increase strength and improve mobility
- Produce age and ability appropriate programmes for elderly residents, including those in wheelchairs
- Collaborate with care teams to ensure all sessions suit the needs of each resident
- Work within medical guidelines, ensuring sessions are adapted for conditions such as arthritis/osteoporosis
- Have excellent knowledge of ageing physiology, understanding joint health, muscle loss and balance decline
- Communicate and record progress of sessions to feedback to the care team
