MMC Tech Hub Leader for the Americas
What can you expect?
We are looking for a Regional Hub Leader to join our Technology team in Mexico City. We have ambitious growth targets in Mexico City to serve as the Tech regional hub, and a Center for Excellence, for the Americas. The regional hub will contain teams of Application Developers, technology specialists, Business Analysts, Project/Program Managers and other technology roles that require time zone overlap with clients in the Americas. The Leader works with the Technology Leadership team as well as local business and corporate leaders to lead efforts on scalability and efficiency, performance improvement, service enhancement, and product development.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technology leader with experience building regional operations, recruiting top talent, and sustaining a high-performance culture for technologists. The candidate should have a broad background in current technologies and possess a strong business and financial acumen. A proven ability to manage multiple, large scale projects concurrently is a critical success factor.
Role Responsibilities:
Oversee and build out (e.g., identify and hire) a team of technology colleagues including for (but not limited to) MEAN stack application development, business analysis, project/program, management, application operations and infrastructure support.
Sustain operations achieving scale efficiencies through pooling of resources across Business Units and Functions, programs, and projects.
Promote the value proposition of the hub.
Act as a trusted partner and adviser especially to the executive stakeholders who consume services provided by the regional hub.
Quickly establish solid relationships with business unit leadership and other senior executives.
Have in-depth understanding of the talent market in Mexico and build strong local external relationships to acquire highly skilled talent.
Create a team culture focused on innovation, process improvements and alignment with the MMC Tech organization culture.
Drive standardization and consistency across project teams to capture scope advantages and drive financial and operational efficiencies.
Leverage MMC Tech information sharing channels to disseminate the gained knowledge and expertise to the wider technology and digital communities.
Perform governance duties including (but not limited to) generating and reporting various metrics for the hub and communicating issues to business leadership.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in managing teams and influencing leaders across a global organization.
A strong innovation mindset, with the ability to bring projects from ideation to delivery.
Experienced manager of managers – able to lead multiple technical delivery teams.
Pro-active, results driven; able to balance multiple deliverables while operating in a strict control environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Spanish and English.
