Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Unit Support Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Unit Support Coordinator, you will:
• Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and by performing clerical and other support services as directed.
• Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.

Qualifications include:
• High school diploma / GED
• At least 6 months experience working in a hospital or doctor’s office.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficient in PC, Internet and email required.
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Full-time

• Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week

• Shift Type: Day, Monday - Friday - Must be willing to flex into evening, at least till 7pm

• Weekend Requirements: Weekend rotation every 4 to 6 weeks at minimum.

• Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar

• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Cross-training to some clinical roles to support in critical situations

Pay Range:

$18.80 - $24.18

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Non-Exempt)

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue.
