Project Manager

Leap29 are partnering with a leading client to recruit an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of High Voltage (HV) EPC (Turnkey) works on a major data centre project in Norway. This is an excellent opportunity to oversee critical electrical infrastructure from design through commissioning on one of Europe's fastest-growing mission-critical developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of HV EPC (turnkey) packages, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HV infrastructure, including substations, transformers, switchgear, cable systems, and grid connections.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Manage project reporting, stakeholder communication, contract administration, and change management.
• Support commissioning, energisation, testing, and final handover to the client.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience delivering HV EPC or turnkey electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing substations, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, commercial management, scheduling, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and workstreams within a fast-paced construction environment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience delivering data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of HV systems including transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection systems, and grid connections.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contract frameworks.
• Experience managing commissioning, energisation, and project handover activities.
• Norwegian language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
