ABOUT THE JOB
The Associate Director, Legal and Compliance is accountable for ensuring NAB Vietnam and NAB complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate, drive process rigor and accuracy, execute and manage compliance under Corporate Law & Other Laws.

  • Guide other functional members on corporate governance issues related to document management, litigation holds, litigation strategy, and document management process improvements.

  • Compliances and liaising with relevant ministries and governing bodies and other statutory authorities.

  • Implementing of Corporate Governance processes in alignment with local and NAB requirements

  • Supporting compliance with all statutory requirements and working with internal and external agencies to carry out legal compliance audits.

  • Anticipate and drive solutions for a diverse range of legal and business issues.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Capabilities​

  • Strong attention to detail, strong written and oral communication and ability to navigate complexity and through the organisation’s structure, managing relationships, influencing and anticipating needs. ​

  • Technical skills include understanding and operating corporate governance accountabilities, concepts, policies, tools and templates, most of which are based on legal and regulatory requirements. Ability to understand these requirements and practically apply these at a process level is essential.​

  • Strong work discipline and ethics, including ability to keep information strictly confidential.​

  • Self-motivation and ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines.​

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, while knowing when to escalate matters to People Leader.​

  • Continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to successfully work in cross-functional teams

  • Ability and courage to question status quo and develop solutions to address concerns

  • Unyielding commitment to ethics & high personal integrity and impeccable professional ethics 

Experience​

  • Qualified law graduate with relevant in-house experience with the below mentioned accountabilities.

  • Candidate with experience in providing legal support to banking and/or financial services

  • Experience working in a global, complex organisation
