SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Instrument Room Manager has 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the activities of Instrument Room Attendants engaged in preparation of sterile instruments.
The Instrument Room Manager participates in the budgetary process; tracks and reports instrument expenditures.
Establishes and implements auditing and management strategies to assure that instruments are available and in working condition.
Maintains sterile processing records according to AORN an AAMl standards.
SCHEDULE: 7 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
CRCST certification required.
Associate degree or currently enrolled in an accredited program required.
Five years of Sterile Processing or related experience required.
Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
