Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Air C2 (Command and Control) and Battlefield Sensors software department in Fullerton, California.

What You Will Do:

The Air C2 SW product teams develop Command and Control mission critical applications and leverage DevSecOps processes along with best industry practices to meet the threats of today and tomorrow.

• Perform as a key contributor working as part of a high performing Software Product Team. 

• Participate in software C2 software application design, implementation, test and maintenance. 

• Collaborate in a cross-functional / agile environment

• Travel up to 25% including short term business trips (between 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the circumstances) to Taiwan to interface with our customer and other RTX colleagues.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

• Experience in Java, Python or C++ programming languages.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Experience with Red Hat Linux

• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively within large, cross-functional teams.

• Experience in software engineering in the Command & Control domain

• Experience with interface development including tactical data links, radar/civilian data sources and weapons control.

• Experience with Java UI frameworks such as Swing or JavaFX

• Experience with component-based architecture and microservices.

• Experience working with a range of infrastructure and platforms

• Experience with one or more scripting languages

• Experience with Ada

• Experience with DOORS

• Experience with the following toolchain products: Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Coverity, Collaborator and JIRA

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

• This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA , an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
