Medical Assistant – Full TimeLocation: 3101 Hwy 71 East, Suite 101, Bastrop, TX 78602
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Rotating Saturdays: 9:00am–12:00pm (approximately once every 4–6 weeks)
Compensation: $20–$22/hr
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience Clinical Skills: EKG & injection experience preferred
Setting: Primary Care – 10 providers, 15–20 patients per day

About the Role
We are seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support our busy primary care clinic. You will work closely with providers, prepare patients for visits, perform clinical tasks, and help maintain smooth daily operations.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and office visits
Obtain vital signs and perform in‑office procedures (EKG, spirometry, peak flow, bone density, nebulizer treatments)
Administer injections and immunizations
Monitor patients after vaccinations or injections
Obtain complete patient histories (medical, surgical, social)
Record medications and allergies accurately
Assist physicians, PAs, and NPs with exams and procedures
Relay in‑office lab test results
Patient Communication
Handle incoming calls from patients, pharmacies, radiology centers, labs, and insurance companies
Notify patients of test results and provide follow‑up instructions
Review and process refill requests according to provider protocols
Clinic Operations
Clean and sanitize exam and procedure rooms
Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments
Support smooth patient flow across a busy clinic with 10 providers
Maintain a professional, courteous, and patient‑focused environment
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience
Experience with EKGs and injections
Dependable, polite, and professional
Excellent customer service skills
Accurate, thorough, and detail‑oriented
Able to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Strong team player with a positive attitude
Passionate about providing the best care to patients
Preferred Qualifications
Athena EMR experience

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
