Role Summary: The Manager – Supply Chain Planning is responsible for driving end-to-end distribution planning to ensure optimal inventory availability, and seamless supply continuity across markets. The role focuses on demand-driven planning, inventory management, export planning, and digital transformation and process automation initiatives through Advance Excel, Power BI, SAP systems, and process automation. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and supply chain responsiveness.
Roles and Responsibility:
2 The Manager – Supply Chain Planning is responsible for driving end-to-end distribution planning to ensure optimal inventory availability, and seamless supply continuity across markets. The role focuses on demand-driven planning, inventory management, export planning, and digital transformation and process automation initiatives through Advance Excel, Power BI, SAP systems, and process automation. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and supply chain responsiveness.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Planning & Distribution Management
- Manage domestic Supply and distribution planning across multiple warehouses and depots to ensure smooth product availability and efficient stock movement.
- Prepare Replenishment strategies and STO (Stock Transfer Order) planning for 7,000+ SKUs across Pan-India distribution networks, ensuring optimal inventory flow, efficient and effective dispatch coordination.
- Monitor inventory coverage, stock availability, stock aging, and depot-level inventory balancing to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Drive demand-supply alignment through forecast-based planning and coordination with manufacturing, procurement, and sales teams.
2. International Supply Planning & Export Operations
- Lead global supply and demand planning activities for international business operations across 46+ countries.
- Coordinate export order planning, inventory allocation, production alignment, and shipment execution for international markets.
- Improve export supply responsiveness by reducing lead times and strengthening planning accuracy.
- Collaborate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and export stakeholders to ensure timely dispatches and smooth execution.
3. Inventory Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Drive SKU rationalization initiatives to reduce slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies to improve working capital efficiency and stock productivity.
- Identify process improvement opportunities across supply chain operations through analytical and data-driven approaches.
- Apply lean methodologies and SOP standardization to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness.
4. Digital Transformation & Analytics
- Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and KPI reporting tools using SAP, Power BI, and Excel.
- Automate STO PR processing, inventory coverage monitoring, and planning workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Generate actionable insights through supply chain analytics and performance reporting.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by integrating technology, automation, and reporting systems into planning operations.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, warehouse, sales, export, finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain activities.
- Coordinate with external vendors, transporters, logistics service providers, and international partners for operational alignment.
- Support implementation of new supply chain processes, tools, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to improve supply chain visibility and responsiveness.
3. Trading Items Planning
- Manage planning for trading items sourced externally (non‑manufacturing SKUs).
- Align with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment and resolve supply issues proactively.
- Track lead times, MOQ, supplier performance, and cost implications.
- Maintain master data accuracy for trading items (lead time, MOQ, pack size, cost).
4. B2B Order & Supply Management
- Manage B2B customer order fulfilment through effective allocation and supply coordination across India.
- Work with sales and key account teams on availability updates and order prioritization.
- Ensure OTIF (On‑Time In-Full) delivery performance targets are met for B2B accounts.
- Coordinate with logistics to streamline dispatch plans and resolve delivery exceptions.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and sales teams.
- Participate in S&OE and IBP meetings, providing insights on inventory, WST, and supply risks/opportunities.
- Support new product introductions, product transitions, and SKU rationalization activities.
